Dr. Christman is a 1996 graduate of the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine and is the owner of Healthy Pet Veterinary Clinic. While she started her veterinary career at a large animal practice where she took care of horses and all types of farm animals, Dr. Christman opened the doors at Healthy Pet Veterinary Clinic in 2001 and hasn't looked back since. Carla loves Madison with it's the eclectic people and never ending list of things to do out on the town.
Dr. Christman is a member of the following organizations:
Dr. Christman works closely with several animal rescue groups and greatly enjoys being able to help animals in need. At home you would often find Dr. Christman out in her garden or just being outside enjoying a warm summer day. Exercise and Doctor Who are some of her two greatest passions. She also shares her home with several pets: Including two dogs, four cats, three ferrets and four guinea pigs. Dr. Christman's personal passion for small mammals is why Healthy Pet has become a premier facility in the care of small mammal pets.
Mike joined the clinic team in late 2015 after being in management positions with several other companies in the Madison area for nearly 30 years. Mike also had a, 'past life' that included being a Firefighter/EMT and a Police and Fire Communicator/911 Dispatcher for over 17 years. Mike has found that working in veterinary care is not that different than working in public safety in that everyone must work together as a team and trust each other. That trust and teamwork is the foundation on which we build relationships with our clients through their pets.
